Why do I need to inventory everything in my home?
Many insurance companies will require you to provide a list of items you’ll need replaced in the event of fire or natural disaster. It’s a good idea to make a list of those things, along with serial numbers, etc., and keep it in a safe place such as a bank deposit box. Hint: Take a picture of each room also.
My neighbor’s tree fell on my garage. Does my homeowners policy cover the damage, or does his?
